Arrival & Departure

Check-in is from 2.00 pm.
Check-out is by 11.00 am.
Luggage can be left at The Old Rectory (TOR) by prior arrangement.


 
Booking

Enquiries and bookings are taken over the telephone, by email or by letter.
A deposit of £20 per room is required at the time of booking to confirm the room.
Confirmations are sent by email or letter on receipt of the deposit.


 
Payment
At the moment payment is by cash or cheque.

 
Cancellation Policy

Where a cancellation of a confirmed room is made prior to a month before the arrival date the deposit is returned in full.

Where the cancellation is made within a month of the arrival date the deposit is returned if The Old Rectory is able to let the room prior to the original arrival date. Where the Guest(s) has already booked into TOR but then decides to cancel a subsequent night’s stay the price of the room will be charged in full to the Guest(s).

In the case of all rooms being pre booked by a group for one or several night(s) and subsequently cancelled, the deposit is non-refundable.


 
Car Parking
The Old Rectory does not accept responsibility for damage to, or for theft from, or for theft of vehicles parked on TOR’s premises.

 
Behaviour
The Old Rectory reserves the right to judge acceptable levels of noise or behaviour of Guests or their representatives, who must take all steps for corrective action as requested by TOR. In the event of failure of the Guests or their representatives to comply with management requests, TOR may terminate the booking or stop any event immediately without being liable for any refund or compensation.

 
Statutory requirements
The Old Rectory is subject to statutory controls, including those relating to fire, licensing, entertainment, health, hygiene and safety. These must be strictly observed by Guests and their representatives.

 
Damage

Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the allocated rooms, furnishings, utensils and equipment in them by any act or omission, default or neglect of the guests or their representatives. This includes damages caused by materials and / or equipment brought into the rooms by Guests or their representatives e.g. food, drink, cosmetics, hair straighteners. Guests are responsible for any damage caused in the rooms which is alcohol or drug induced.

Guests will pay to The Old Rectory on demand the amount required to make good or remedy any such damage and the cost of such recovery.


 
Smoking
All internal public areas within The Old Rectory are non-smoking. If Guests decide to smoke in any room they will be liable to a charge for the necessary cleaning and / or damage caused

 
Liability

Other than for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of The Old Rectory, the Old Rectory’s liability to the Guest is limited to the price of the Booking.

TOR does not accept responsibility for damage to the Guest’s possessions, or for theft from the room(s) where the Guest(s) is residing.

TOR will not be liable for failure to perform to the extent that the failure is caused by any factor beyond its reasonable control.


 
Third Party Rights
The Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 shall not apply to this contract.

 
Governing Law

Any issues arising out of these booking conditions shall be deemed to have existence in England and be subject to English law and the exclusive jurisdiction of English Courts.

The Old Rectory reserves the right to change these terms from time to time.
